The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. Since its debut in 1926, its name and scoring have changed several times. Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. For the school I read applications for, I would say a lower GPA is really anything under a 3.4 (though the avg for incoming is closer to 3.75). So if you had, say a 3.1, I would want to see a pretty good SAT score (1400+) and high course rigor (Andhra Pradesh, IB, Honors, dual credit classes) for me to dismiss the lower GPA. NTSE exam pattern for Stage 1 & Stage 2 is divided into two parts as SAT & MAT. There will be 100 questions each in both MAT and SAT (Science-40, Maths-20, Social Science-40). This section will have questions on analytical and logical reasoning. How is the MAT section of NTSE exam? Overall, the MAT section of NTSE is a pure test of mental ability. Preparing for MAT during the last month will give you upsetting results and you are strictly avoided against it. It is a scoring section, and you must conquer it with confidence.
