You can seek admission through any mode on the basis of a single application form, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Mode 1 70% seats on the basis of JEE (Main)-2019/NEET-2019 rankings
Mode 2 30% seats on the basis of 10+2 PCM/PCB scores

Hi, Thapar University has excellent placements in all branches. As you ask specifically for EC/CS, the package is really good. On average a student gets around 5-6 lakh packages, highest is around 35 lakh. Both mass recruiters and product-based companies visit here.

I believe that VIT-Vellore is better than Thapar University, but I see many people are with Thapar University, both provide quality education. But, VIT's placements are good they have tie ups mass recruiters. They have very well infrastructure and good student-faculty ratio. But, as you are expecting high salary, I think Thapar University give you better opportunity than VIT, because even VIT has high placements, their packages are low.

With past 60 years in teaching engineering and is ranked 20 in the latest NIRF ranking to prove its mettle. Admissions in the second semester known as lateral entry are still open. Thapar Institute offers 4-year BE Programme in Computer Science Engineering. It also offers M.E. In Computer Science and Engineering, ME in Software Engineering and MCA. If you have appeared for both Jan and April, best out of the two will be considered. This year however, Thapar has made two criterias available. 1) Based on your JEE score and 2) Based on your 12th class percentage (PCM OR PCB). The division of seats for the above two is 30% and 70% respectively. You can choose as per your suiting. The institute has just opened this application form.
