After acquiring the MBA Tourism and travel management degree, a graduate student can work at state tourism development corporations, hotels, airports and shopping malls, expecting a salary between 20,000 to 45,000 INR per month. No, its certainly not necessary to do MBA if you want to come a travel journalist. Being a travel Journalist is more about knowing and understanding the culture and aura of place you visit. I will suggest with your studies also start exploring different places near by and shoot documentaries. will help in your communication skills and also how you look at different aspects of cultural diversity.

There are plenty of travel companies in India that are perpetually looking for professional like you. In addition hotels too are on look out for professional in this field. If you can do some diploma in hotel management or archeology it would add value to your CV.

First a little disclaimer. If all traveling jobs were easy, everyone would be doing this. Many of these professions require passion, specialized training, time commitment, and talent. For those that dont, the pay just isnt great.
