All Curtin University Dubai scholarships have some terms and conditions tied to them. Each scholarship or grant is provided for a specific duration and requires applicants to remain in 'good standing' with the university, and fulfil certain criteria. In the majority of such instances, you must remain enrolled in the same programme that you initially signed up for to retain scholarship eligibility, though you may be able to change your major or minor subjects. Thus, if you are switching courses at the university but still want to retain your scholarship, you will have to check the specific conditions provided by the university, and notify the scholarship office before switching programs.

For international students studying on student visa, changing programs may also affect your visa status, especially if the new programme chosen has different credit point requirements.

Though most students are eligible for single scholarships only, Curtin University also allows meritorious and financially-struggling students with support through multiple scholarships. The Curtin Excellence scholarship, Curtin STAR scholarship, the John Curtin scholarship programme and the Harry Perkins scholarship are some of the major programs that offer fee rebates to both national and international applicants. Applicants may however be able to apply for multiple scholarships and grants, provided that they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. Each such scholarship has a specific amount that is granted per semester, and applicants may also be expected to maintain a certain CGPA in each semester to continue getting the grant allotted. 

If you are applying to Curtin University directly through their official website, you must wait for a minimum of two weeks before getting to know the status of your application. The outcome of an application is directly shared to the official email ID of the applicant, which the applicants use to register themselves initially. Once you receive an admission into the university's program, you are provided with an admission certificate, along with specific guidelines that are to be followed next. The university may also ask selected applicants to provide their educational transcripts or other necessary document. Overseas students who get selected can then start preparing for their visa documents for procuring student visas, which would also require them to show their admission letter from the university. Selected applicants must also inform the visa office whether the received admission is conditional or unconditional. In case of a conditional admit, applicants are also required to mention the conditions of their admission in their visa application/cover letter.

If an individual, organisation or department has agreed to sponsor your programme at Curtin University Dubai, you must full-up and submit the sponsorship form of the university. The university then provides the applicant and their sponsors with the necessary documentation to set up a sponsorship. In case a student wants to be sponsored by the university or its patrons, they need to specify the reasons why they need the funds. However, in case of an external sponsor, such as their previous employer, applicants need to elaborate on their association with the sponsor or organisation in the Sponsor Disclosure of Information form of the university.
