Hello Ram, Yes, a student having obtained degree or PG or doctorate from abroad is definitely eligible. Normally there are intergovernmental agreements that accept equivalents between two courses if different universities. Best wishes.

Hello Rajeev, Yes, you have done your M.A. Through IGNOU which is a university formed by an act of parliament. It's degrees are acceptable for all purposes including NET exam conducted by UGC. Best wishes.

Hello, The aspirants who have completed Masters in Arts with subjects like sociology and other subjects are definitely eligible to become lecturers and researchers. Students with distance or regular degree from a recognised college or university can appear for the UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Exam eligibility is that you must not be more than 30 years (35 years for women and reserved candidates). The UGC NET Exam is conducted in the month of July and now you can appear for the UGC NET Exam to be conducted in the month of December. UGC NET 2018 Eligibility
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. Hello,
The aspirants completed Masters in Commerce, Arts or Management can apply for the UGC NET exam. There is no age limit to appear in the NET Exam. Well, if you want to gain the UGC fellowships worth INR 25000 per month for studies. And for research, you need to clear the JRF cut-off. The Age limit is 30 years for JRF (For Female and Reserved Category students the age limit is 35 years)
The NET Exam is conducted in two phases- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted in the Aptitude section and Paper 2 is conducted in the Subject selected by candidates in the Post graduation (Management in your case)

The CBSE has also increased the upper age limit for appearing in NET JRF exam from the existing 28 years to 30 years. The relaxation in age limit will remain same.

Basically, the purpose of appearing for the NET exam is to enter into the field of teaching. Also, those interested in the research field need to appear for this exam along with the JRF exam. It has now become mandatory to receive the UGC pay scale the candidate should have cleared the NET exam. Any candidate who has completed the Master's degree course can appear for the exam. So, you are eligible provided you select the subjects based on the Master's degree.

Hello Neha, Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET because the basic requirement for the NET exam is candidates should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in post graduation. And you fulfill that criteria. Along with this must follow the age criteria. If you want to appear for JRF then your age must not more than 30 years. For assistant professor, this rule is not valuable because there is no age limit.
