Hello,
Candidates those who want to make career in the lectureship and Research programme must prepare and appear for the National Eligibility test. The UGC NET Exam is conducted in the month of June and December month usually. Now if we talk about the Eligibility than the candidates are eligible for the UGC NET Exam, if they have completed the Masters or post-graduation in the Law with at least 55% marks (50 % marks if Reserved CAT. Yes, you can pursue PG in Sociology softer completing graduation in Physics. Because to apply for PG, you just need to qualify the graduation. As you ask, are you eligible for UGC NET so you can appear for the UGC NET exam in your qualifying year of post graduation or after qualify it. You have to be score at least 55% aggregate marks in Masters to be eligible for the NET exam. Hi Ratnaprava, The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the determination of candidates for assistant professor posts and for junior research fellowship award. The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The minimum eligibility to apply for UGC NET is post graduation with 55% marks from recognised university. The age of the candidates should be below 30 years for NET JRF while no age limit for lectureship. Hi Chandrika, Yes, the Diploma candidates can apply for the UGC NET. As per the official notification, the candidates must have completed post graduation degree with more than 55% marks from recognised university. The candidates can apply only for their post graduation or its related subjects only. Hello Kanika, If you have completed the PGDM with more than 55% marks, then yes, You can apply for the UGC NET exam. The candidates are allowed to apply for their post graduation and its related subjects only. Thus you can apply for the UGC NET HRM or UGC NET management exam. You must also fulfill the age limit criteria for NET JRF that is 30 years old. There is no age limit criteria for the assistant professor or lectureship posts. Yes, you can apply for the UGC NET Exam if you have completed Post graduation in the finance field. The UGC NET Exam is mainly conducted for the aspirants completed the post-graduation and want to apply for the lectureship and Research programme. They must complete the Masters in the subject from the University and College with around 55 % marks overall (50% marks in the post-graduation for the Reserved CAT.

Hello Neel, Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET. You can take NET exam in History subject. But make sure that if you want to apply for the JRF post then your age must not more than 30 years (For General) or 35 Years (For OBC/SC/ST/PwD). For Assistant Professor this criteria is not apply.
