Paper-I would have general aptitude test, which consists of sections like Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc. There will be 50 questions each of two marks. As per the UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018 Exam, the candidates must attempt all the 50 questions. Paper-II will have 100 compulsory MCQ (Multiple choices with single correct answer) questions each of two marks. Paper-II covers entire syllabus of the subject selected by the candidate.

Yes, you can apply as you are a post graduate.

There are two types of NET one is the CSIR UGC NET for basic Science subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, engineering sciences etc. Another is the CBSE UGC NET for arts, computer Science, electronics etc. You can go for CSIR UGC NET exam if you want to study physics.

But in JRF age limit is mandatory (maximum 30 years for General and maximum 35 years for OBC/ST/SC/PWD), so work harder to qualifying the NET Exam.
