With the Lancaster University acceptance rate of 18-22%, the university is extremely selective to get into. Also, the University of Lancashire acceptance rate stands at 22%, which indicates that the university selects only 22/100 applicants on average. Hence, both universities are extremely competitive when it comes to admissions.

In order to get into these prestigious institutions, Indian applicants must:

  • Meet the minimum entry qualifications;
  • Submit proof of English language proficiency;
  • Maintain excellent academic records;
  • Participate in activities outside class;
  • Possess good character; and more.

Application processing can vary across different programs, but also time of year at UCLan. For undergraduate and postgraduate programs, applications are normally processed in 4- to 6-week intervals post-submission, although during peak deadlines, it may take longer.

Through the UCAS system (for undergraduate programs) or through the UCLan online portal directly (for postgraduate applications), you receive an offer or a decision from the university upon reviewing your application along with any attached documents.

These types of cases usually take longer because they might require more documents and interviews.
