DTE releases the TANCET MBA merit list for candidates selected to take part in the counselling round. The closing rank for MBA in 2022 was 7184. In addition, rank one was given to a candidate with a TANCET score of 99.995. The selected candidates with their names in the TANCET rank list are further required to pay the counselling fee and exercise choices. For MBA course admission, candidates must have a valid bachelor's degree in any subject of the University of Madras or any other university accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto. This is the minimum eligibility criteria, and fulfilment of the same does not confirm selection.
