All courses admission to UPES Dehradun are open for 2024. Admission to UPES is solely determined by entrance. A minimum of 50% in class 10 and class 12, with 50% in PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) in class 12, is required for admission to the B.Tech program. Candidates may also apply using their JEE Mian and CUET results; to get admitted using their SAT India score, they must score at least 50%. To admit students to B.Tech programs, the university also administers its own UPESEAT exam.

Yes, UPESEAT is University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test. University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) conducts the examination every year online for the admission of suitable candidates to its various BTech courses. It is a self-financed, UGC and AICTE approved University. Admission in UPES is done through UPESEAT, JEE Main scorecard, and Board merit list. 80% of seats of the University are filled through UPESEAT and the rest 20% are filled on the basis of the JEE Main scorecard and Class 12 result. Yes, UPES Dehradun accepts JEE Main score for admission to BTech/ BTech (Hons) course. However, aspirants must also pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology, and English in Class 12 to apply with JEE Main or CUET score. Candidates must secure at least 50 percentile for admission to through SAT India score. For aspirants who wish to apply with their merit in the last qualifying exam must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 75%-80% aggregate and a minimum of 75%-80% aggregate in Class 12 PCM subjects. UPES Dehradun admission to BCA course is based on CUET-UG. Aspirants who have not appeared for the entrance exam can come for personal interview round. Additionally, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate along with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology as one of the major subjects in Class 12 can apply for the BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. There are a total of 60 seats in the BCA course.
