When you’re admitted into the United States at a port of entry, you must present your passport with the entry visa and other supporting documents to a Customs and Border Protection officer. The officer then decides whether you are eligible to enter the country and how long you can stay and admits you in a nonimmigrant status that matches the visa in your passport. To study in USA, Indian students need to have a valid USA student visa. Your visa process starts when you receive the I-20 Form from your college/university. Also, you should pay the SEVIS I-901 fee before you start your US visa application. After paying the SEVIS fee, you need to apply to DS-160 visa form. Pay the visa fee and schedule a Biometric and interview appointment.
