The campus experience at GIBS includes many resources for students to discover how to become effective leaders, work as part of a very successful team, develop their creativity, and learn how to communicate effectively in a variety of ways outside of their studies. Because of the diversity of the extracurricular opportunities available on campus, these activities have also been designed to be fun!

Some of the Activities/Events Offered at GIBS Include:

If placements are your priority, I would personally prefer LPU. The university has a larger recruiter base, stronger industry exposure, and a well-established placement ecosystem. BBA students get opportunities in banking, finance, marketing, analytics, and business development roles. The university also offers internships, industry projects, and corporate training that improve employability. With recruiters visiting from across India and good placement statistics for management programs, LPU provides strong career opportunities for BBA students.

Yes, the Integrated BBA-MBA program offered by LPU is a valid and recognized program. In my opinion, it is a good choice for students who are already sure about building a career in management. The program provides continuity in learning, saves time compared to pursuing the degrees separately, and offers exposure to internships, industry projects, and leadership development. Students also benefit from placement training and scholarship opportunities through LPUNEST. The integrated approach helps develop strong managerial skills from an early stage.

The GIBS Business School focuses on encouraging creativity and producing an innovative workforce through various student-centered programs outside of the classroom to promote innovative thinking and entrepreneurship.

  • Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship (IRE): Through projects, workshops and startup activities, students learn how to identify new ideas, conduct research and assess entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Live Projects & Case Studies: By working on real business problems, students can take the theory they have learned and apply it to a situation they have encountered in their real-world experiences.

From what I remember, the process was pretty straightforward and not as complicated as people sometimes imagine. I did my PGDM there, and most people were more stressed before the process than during the actual process.

Usually, the admission process goes something like this:

  • Fill out the application form and submit basic details
  • Submit academic details, entrance exam scores (if applicable), and documents
  • SOP / statement-related part where you explain yourself and your goals
  • Group discussion or similar evaluation activity (depending on the process)
  • Personal Interview (this is usually where people stress the most )
  • Profile evaluation based on

Honestly, from what I have seen, many people get stressed thinking admissions are only about scores but that is usually not the case. I did my PGDM there, and students with different scores and backgrounds got opportunities too.

Some reasons people usually mess up during admission rounds:

  • Going for interviews without preparing properly

  • Not being able to answer simple questions like why MBA/PGDM

  • Looking too confused or unsure during discussions

  • Poor confidence or communication

  • Small mistakes in applications or documents

  • Thinking “score is enough, I'll manage somehow”

  • Not having clarity about what they want to do next

Honestly, many peo

I did my PGDM there, and one thing I noticed was that people in class were not coming from the same background. You would see students from different cities, states, educational backgrounds, and even different work experience levels, which honestly makes management studies more interesting because group discussions and projects become very different when everyone thinks differently.

What I personally Felt was,

  • Students from different states and cities studying together

  • Mix of freshers and students with work experience

  • Students from different academic backgrounds, not only commerce or management

  • Group projects and activities where you work

Whether to choose an integrated programme after Class 12 or complete a BBA first and then an MBA depends on career goals and flexibility needs. An integrated programme saves time and offers a structured learning path. However, doing BBA first allows exploration of different interests before committing to an MBA. At LPU, both pathways include industry oriented learning, practical exposure, and career focused opportunities. The better choice is the one that matches long term plans and learning preferences.
