According to me, Diploma is the best because in class 11th and class 12th, you will study chemistry and other subjects. But, in Diploma your basics will be clear and you can get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry.

Hi Nikhil, research will come later, first you complete your bachelor degree in either mechanical or automobile engineering to understand the field. Gain some work experience. You must then go for a integrated M.Sc/Ph.D or simply a M.Sc and then a Ph.D.

Hello Nikhil,
Ethical hacking is the toughest so you have to be smart in this work to get a job here but in automobile, job is easily available as compared to ethical hacking.
According to the industry estimates, automobile sector is expected to sell more than 6 million vehicles by 2020. Overall, automobile exports grew by 14.89% over the same period last year.
So, demand of automobile engineering is increasing day by day.
All the best.
