Hello Faisal,
You seem to have done excellently in your Diploma. Now for lateral entry, every state has a matrix that tells you what branches of engineering you are eligible based on your branch in diploma. Else taking Diploma as the equivalent of 12th you can seek admission in any branch in the first year.

It's really nice to see your enthusiasm. Yes, the field of Aerospace engineering is really exciting but the actual research takes place in not so exciting places. Then unfortunately in India not many opportunities for research. So, I will suggest automobile to you.
