For 2022, cut off was 40528 for General category candidates under All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Kalyani - Indian Institute of Information Technology. For female candidates in General category the closing rank in BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Yes, GJUST is a good university as it is ranked 49 under the Pharmacy category by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2023. Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology also provides various distance education programmes to students that are approved by the Distance Education Bureau, UGC, New Delhi. GJU University, through various affiliated colleges and departments, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and various other courses to students. These courses are provided across Chemistry, Physics, Law, and various other streams.

The University has maintained a good placement record in recent years. The placement rate for BTech was the same in 2021 and 2022, however, it dropped by 4% in 2023. On the other hand, the year-on-year improving trend was recorded in the percentage of MTech students placed. The PES University MBA placement rate improved from 2021 to 2022 and for 2022 and 2023 it was the same. See the table below showcasing the PES University placement trends for UG and PG courses:

At the undergraduate level, GJUST offers BTech courses to students. The eligibility criteria for the BTech at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate and the accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, HSTES, CBSE 12th, HBSE 12th, and others. The total fee for the BTech course is INR 90,600 - INR 2.88 lakh. Hence, a candidate must clear any of the entrance exams mentioned above for admission to the relevant course.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence was 44388 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIIT Dharwad - Indian Institute of Information Technology.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIIT Dharwad  has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 35112. In 2022, it increased to 38430. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 50709 to 53826 for OBC, 172660 to 163954 for SC, 225314 to 236812 for ST, 40221 to 51083 for EWS, 630410 to 1428 for PWD.

IIIT Dharwad - Indian Institute of Information Technology will release 6–8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

  • The JEE Main score of the candidate
  • The category of the candidate
  • The number of seats available in the course

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Dharwad - Indian Institute of Information Technology other than General category are - 53826 for OBC, 163954 for SC, 236812 for ST, 51083 for EWS, 1428 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
