The entrance exam for B.Tech in UP government colleges is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) every year. UPSEE is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in colleges affiliated with AKTU. The UPSEE exam is usually held in the month of April or May, and the application process begins in January or February. The exam is conducted in online mode and consists of multiple-choice questions from subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. In addition to UPSEE, some government engineering colleges in UP may also accept scores from other national level entrance exams such as JEE Main depending on their admission policies.

Choosing between B.Tech in CSE and B.Tech in Civil Engineering depends on your interests and abilities. B.Tech in CSE focuses on computer hardware and software, system software elements, programming languages, algorithms, data structures, computer networks, databases, operating systems, and software engineering.
