Yes, you have indeed very good academics. But I feel the best course for you is to approach specialised agency that is dealing with sending students to Germany. They would know different nuances so that you don't fall into any trap.

Many years ago, some universities were awarding degree of B.Sc in engineering. But I think now a days only BE or B.Tech. However I would be interested if you can let me know if such degree is still awarded.

To get admission into VIT University for chemical engineering, you need to clear an entrance exam called VITEEE with a good rank. It is conducted every year by VIT University for undergraduate engineering admissions.

Both are equivalent degrees in engineering, however, B.Tech makes an edge over BE in terms of placement. So, go for B.Tech chemical engineering. As you're a Diploma holder, you have a practical knowledge than regular students of class 12th.
