India has very well developed Chemical Industry including Petroleum & gas both in Government and private sector. It is core sector with lot of Government and big corporate houses support. Lateral admissions are given only to the Diploma holders in the 2nd year of concerned engineering branch. It's not given after B Sc.

Hi,
The placements of VNIT CSE are the best, as compared to the other departments/branches. Many top companies, like Morgan Stanley, Amazon, etc. visit here every year. The packages are not that high, as compared to CSE of IITs or CSE of top NITs, but still better than that of some other NITs, and the private colleges. Youll definitely get a job, with a decent package, at a reputed company. Moreover, the NIT tag, as well as the reputed company tag, would further enhance your growth in the future.

We have got average placements for chemical engineering department in VIT, Pune. Highest salary package was Rs 8 lakhs per annum last year (excluding IT companies). Average package is around Rs 4 to Rs 4.5 lakhs per annum. Some of the top notch companies coming for placements are NFL, Loreal, Alfa Laval, Techno force, Pernod Ricard, Praj, Emerson, Honeywell.
