Check the rules for lateral entry through google.

Hi there,
MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is among the best private colleges in India. It has secured a rank under 40 in the latest NIRF ranking.The placement stats of the college is very good for CSE/IT and ECE. However, placements for civil engineering are not that good as other branches.

CSE branch is great in terms of placement in private sector with high packages whereas CE branch offers placement in government sector with decent packages and secured jobs. CE is an evergreen core branch with brilliant scope in government sector .CIvil HasTremendous scope in so many field. Be it construction, transport, geotechnical ,fluid mechanics, repair and maintenance, seismic retrofitting of structures,testing of materials, So basically endless opportunities than CSE.If we go with bifur cation of top engineering courses out of the total number of seats only 923 seats are available in IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
