MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is among the best private colleges in India. It has secured a rank under 40 in the latest NIRF ranking.The placement stats of the college is very good for CSE/IT and ECE. However, placements for civil engineering are not that good as other branches.

Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences with management science. A production engineer typically has a wide knowledge of engineering practices and is aware of the management challenges related to production. The goal is to accomplish the production process in the smoothest, most-judicious and most-economic way.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is traditionally broken into a number of sub-disciplines.
Production has a bit better scope than civil as of now. The placements and jobs are better than civil and there are many areas of interest that one can pursue after production engineering.
On the other hand the condition of civil engineers is not so good.
The core jobs are very less in numbers. Civil Department has much lower placements as compared to other branches in almost all colleges, many students from civil opt for IT roles due to lack of Core jobs. So what is the use of studying civil engineering for 4 years?
Even the premier institutes like IITs and NITs are facing same problem with civil.
Production beats civil by one or two points max.
Choose whichever you are passionate about.

CSE branch is great in terms of placement in private sector with high packages whereas CE branch offers placement in government sector with decent packages and secured jobs. CE is an evergreen core branch with brilliant scope in government sector .CIvil HasTremendous scope in so many field. Be it construction, transport, geotechnical ,fluid mechanics, repair and maintenance, seismic retrofitting of structures,testing of materials, So basically endless opportunities than CSE.If we go with bifur cation of top engineering courses out of the total number of seats only 923 seats are available in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Hence The Competition is too high among engineering aspirants to reserve the most coveted seats in IITs

In the construction industry, projects usually require the knowledge and understanding of civil engineering and architecture. These are important disciplines that deal with the process of creating structures, such as buildings, airports, churches and houses.
Both professions have critical functions that are essential in any construction job and they rely on one-another to accomplish a given task.
However, Architecture focuses more on the spatial functionality and aesthetics of the development work and is more concerned with the artistry, look, feel and functionality of the design.
Both of the degree are goods, but in construction field you will better to pursue civil engineering, because it will have lots of benefits.
Architecture focuses more on the spatial functionality and aesthetics of the development and design and urban planning.
Civil Engineering concentrates on the structural elements of the design, making certain that the structure can endure normal and extreme conditions.

Infrastructure:- SPCE is better than VJTI
Faculty:-. VJTI has more experienced faculties than SPCE.
PS:- Placements of civil engineering is quite average in every colleges of India. So, you can't fully depend on the college placements.
