The prices for food, accommodation, clothing, cultural events, etc. are basically in line with the EU average. Students will need around 800 euros a month to cover your living expenses in Germany. The largest expense is your monthly rent.
Salary: Your salary will depend on various factors but usually your starting salary should be more than 45k Euros per annum. This roughly translates to 2300 Euro per month. In case you are in Munich, it should be a bit higher say 54K Euro per annum.

Job prospects are great although most foreign universities do not have a placement cell i.e companies do not come to the campus to recruit students.
