Civil Engineering

Since you're looking for civil engineering, and placements are the priority, I'd suggest you to look for other colleges. As far as civil engineering is concerned, they are one of the least preferred departments when it comes to campus placements. This year, there are only two out of the fourteen companies which have come so far, which are asking for civil engineering students. Though their curriculum is easier than the other branches, the department of civil engineering lags behind in terms of placements, even when mass recruiters such as Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture and Wipro Technologies are concerned. Core companies do not come for recruitment here, and even Larsen Tourbo, a major construction firm, sends its IT division - L&T Infotech, for civil engineering students. Therefore, you can see that there are very few companies who come for recruiting civil engineering students, and the placement scenario here is good only for computer science, information science, electronics and communication engineering and telecommunication engineering.
