Hello Ananta,
You have scored reasonably good marks in your diploma. However, eligibility criteria differs from state to state. Some states have entrance exam while others give lateral admission based on marks in diploma.
Best wishes.

It is quite tough as your rank is less. It is not possible to get KTR campus, you must try for any other campus where you can surely get admission in civil engineering.
All the best.

If you have an honest interest in mechanical then go for it, otherwise, don't waste your four years in mechanical, you might end up cursing yourself as it might be evergreen, but if done from an average college and you are an average student, you might end up with 15K salary.
Nowadays, CSE is the preferred branch as we are moving towards computerized and digitized world even EE and civil would be the nice choices.

The entire construction industry is due for a major technological revolution. Because it is an old Science, a lot of what happens is happening because "that's how it has been done since long back". If you can disrupt operations, engineering or planning of construction projects by introduction of technology (as has been done in FMCG, manufacturing and financial sector), it can lead to both you getting very rich as well as rapid developments in construction.
But, there are reasons why there are very few obvious disruptions in civil engineering.
