Computer Science and Engineering Eligibility

To secure admission in a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme in Maharashtra through the MHT CET exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: Completion of 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

Minimum Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination for General category candidates, and 45% for reserved category candidates. 

Domicile Requirements: Candidates should be Indian nationals. Specific domicile requirements apply for reserved category candidates, necessitating domicile in Maharashtra. 

Meeting these criteria is essential to be eligible for the MHT CET exam and subsequent admission to CSE programs in Maharashtra.

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), the following criteria must be met:

1. Educational Qualification:

   • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
   • A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (for general category). Relaxation may be given for reserved categories.

2. Entrance Exam:

   • Admission is based on the rank obtained in JEE Main, which is a common entrance test for engineering institutions.

3. Age Limit:

Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) offers BTech programme across several specilisations, including Computer Science & Engineering. Students seeking to apply for the programme must fulfil the admission criteria to be eligible. ITER CSE course eligibility is to pass Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% from a recognised board. Additionally, students must have scored at least 50% in Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects with any of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ IT/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotecnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneursship.
