Joy University BTech admission is based on marks obtained in JOYAT or JEE Main, followed by counselling. Candidates who have secured more than 80 percentile in the JEE Main exam are eligible for direct admission. Candidates must also fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The criteria is that the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English as mandatory subjects with a minimum of 60% in PCM aggregate marks and a minimum of 50% in every subject.

Students with Higher Secondary (Science) or equivalent examination and have qualified Joint Entrance Examination (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education or the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy & Technological Degree Colleges as recommended by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
