Entry to the Vasavi College of Engineering also known as VCE for the B.E./B.Tech courses can be obtained without the Andhra Pradesh ECET. The admissions are most often through, TS EAMCET (70% capacity) apart from that there is a management quota (30% capacity). For the Management quota, there is no entrance test, but then the candidate must score 45% in their 10+2 (PCM). Andhra Pradesh ECET is meant for lateral entry into the second year only of the program.

University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha offers the B.E. / B.Tech programmes for admission to which candidates are selected based on KEAM. However, the candidates who couldn't appear for KEAM can register under the Management quota, though these intakes are restricted.
