Culinary Arts focuses on cooking, baking, and food presentation, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and professional kitchen skills. It is suited for students aspiring to become chefs, bakers, or culinary entrepreneurs.

Catering courses, on the other hand, focus on large-scale food production, event catering, and service management. They train students in managing food for gatherings, banquets, and hospitality events, with a stronger emphasis on logistics and mass food service.

Yes, many Culinary Arts courses also teach about nutrition and diet. Students learn about food value, how to plan balanced meals, and cook in healthy way.

This help chefs make food for people who want vegan, gluten-free, or low-calorie meals. Knowing nutrition is also good for jobs in wellness cooking, diet catering, or cooking for health-careful people.

Yes, graduates from any stream, be it BCom, BA or BSc, can go for Culinary Arts courses.

Depending on preference, they can choose a postgraduate Diploma or a specialised certificate. Some even pursue international culinary schools for advanced training. Prior graduation is an advantage if planning to start a food business, as management knowledge complements culinary skills.

A Diploma in Culinary Arts is more comprehensive, usually lasting 1–2 years, and covers a wide range of topics such as cooking techniques, bakery, and kitchen management. It prepares students for full-time roles in the hospitality industry.

Certificate courses are shorter, often lasting a few months, and focus on specific skills like bakery, pastry, or regional cuisines. While certificates are good for hobbyists or skill enhancement, diplomas are better for careers.

No, you don't need Math for Culinary Arts course. Most college take student from any stream without asking for special subject.

But little math is still helpful, like for recipe measure, stock check, and money control. You don't need to be very good, but knowing simple ratio and calculation make kitchen work and food business easier.

Yes, you can do Culinary Arts even if you don't have Science. Student from Arts, Commerce, or any stream after 12th can join Diploma or degree.

This field is more about cooking skill, creativity, and food presentation, not too much science subject. College mostly see your passion for cooking, new ideas, and practice skill, so many background student can join.

A Diploma in Culinary Arts is shorter and mostly about skill. It good for student who want to start working fast. It focus on hands-on training like cooking, baking, and running kitchen.

But a Culinary Arts degree go more deep. It teach food science, management, and world cuisines. Diploma is cheaper and faster, but degree is seen more value for long-time career and leadership in hotel or restaurant.
