Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech) is a professional postgraduate course that candidates can pursue after completion of their graduation. However, unlike an M.Des course which can be pursued by candidates from any stream, the M.F.Tech is reserved for candidates who have completed their B.F.Tech programme or are from B.E or B.Tech background. This shows that the M.F.Tech is a more technical degree than an M.Des programme. During the M.F.Tech programme, the student will learn about apparel manufacturing, quality management, merchandising, and production management.

One basic difference between the M.F.Tech and the M.Des programme is while the former deals with the production part of the design, the latter deals with designing. The M.F.Tech is offered by some of the top design institutes in the country, including the NIFT. Admission to the top institutes is typically through entrance exams like NIFT. To know more details about the Master of Fashion Technology, candidates can read the article further.
