One way is to crack GATE (EE) and study the branch of Electrical Engineering in IITs/NITs. The other way is to study MS aboard on electrical and electronics. However, for both the ways you need to have a depth knowledge of Electrical Engineering. Sorry, I know only these two ways.

Dear Antony Joseph, Not sure if you would able to do so because you are looking for B.Tech on a part-time basis. But if you want to get admission in B.Tech (regular full time), you can get admission in the second year of B.Tech course through lateral entry process on the basis of your three years Polytechnic Diploma.

There is no provision for 2nd year admission in NITs, IITs and CFTIs. While state government engineering colleges and private colleges offer B.Tech 2nd year admission through lateral entry entrance exam or through their own counselling process on the basis of marks obtained at Diploma engineering/ B.Sc level. Hence you first take admission in electrical engineering Diploma course or B.Sc for getting admission in B.Tech 2nd year.

You are not directly eligible for electrical engineering, but you can apply for Diploma in electrical engineering after class 10th. After 3 year course of Diploma, then you'll enter B.Tech in the 2nd year of electrical engineering.
