Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Electrical engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing, instrumentation and microelectronics, etc. Many of these sub-disciplines overlap and also overlap with other engineering branches, spanning a huge number of specializations such as hardware engineering, power electronics, electromagnetics and waves, microwave engineering, nanotechnology, electrochemistry, renewable energies, mechatronics, electrical materials science, and many more
Electrical Engineers are employed in Operations and Maintenance roles in Manufacturing and Services industry. Electrical engineers are also employed in Electrical Power generations such as atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants. Electrical engineers are also employed in power distribution and services companies. Job opportunities for Electrical engineers are available in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms. Electrical engineers also employed in Electrical goods manufacturing companies. Electrical engineers can join Indian Engineering Services, DRDO, ISO, Defence and paramilitary forces also. Electrical engineers are also employed in teaching and R&D besides working as independent consultant.
