The ICT embodies the convergence of computer and communication systems and has obtained wide acceptance as a distinct discipline. It is a cumulative course involving the study of core subjects of CS,IT and EC. There are a lot of opportunities in future in ICT. Since placement is the only concern the average salary is Rs 7.5 lakhs per annum. Besides IIIT Banglore is recently established college and is not recognized yet.

Hello Preetham,
There are many good engineering colleges in Chennai with good rankings. As you have scored 95% in CBSE boards you can opt for SSN College of Engineering, Kalavakkam. It is a reputed college which offers better education and placements.
You try to get the top colleges in Chennai like Anna university campuses like CEG, ACT and MIT.
If you have appeared for any entrance exams like VITEEE, SRMJEEE then you can opt for VIT-Chennai and SRM University (KTR campus).

Hello Venkatesh,
Yes, it is a good choice. The electronics and communication engineering graduates get jobs in almost all sort of fields. They can work in IT firms, their core jobs, in aeronautical sector, automobile sectors and so on.
But these days, ECE graduates don't get many core jobs, but as they can work in all sort of fields they can be successful.
Choose the best college and try to get a core job.
