There is no concept of provisional admission if you have a compartment. Only after you clear compartment, it is considered as passed and then only you become eligible for admission in any college.

And in which state are you looking for doing B.Tech lateral entry and for which branch are you looking for doing B.Tech lateral entry?

There are many good Colleges which gives lateral entry directly in the 3rd semester.some of them are NIELIT Aurangabad, SLIET Sangruru, HNBGU Uttarakhand. NIELIT, Aurangabad will be the best for you.

The only way to get admission in DTU for Diploma holders is the entrance test that is LEET. I am a student of DTU, so as of now, no notice has been released but you can expect the application form out in the month of June and the test date will be in June itself. Result will be declared in July and admission will be done in the month of August.
