The percentage required in qualifying exam is 60% and JEE Mains for most of the engineering institutes. However, the required percentage criterion depends on the college. IITs consider JEE Advanced.
There are several entrance exams in India at national and state level. Among them, JEE Mains is the most sought-after engineering entrance test. Some private institutes like BITS Pilani, VIT, LPU University etc. conduct their separate entrance test.

Diploma holders are also eligible to take admission, in the second year of the course. They must have done their Diploma after class 10th with min 50% and they need to qualify LEET. In some cases candidates having bachelor degree in science are also eligible.

You have done well in your boards. I would suggest you to look out for the colleges which consider JEE and are private too. You cannot get a government college but try to get into a good private college.
