There are more than 290 Construction Engineering colleges in India. Out of which around 153 colleges accept the GATE exam scores for admission to the M.E./MTech in Construction Engineering course. You need to get good marks and rank in the exam to get a seat at a top college, including the IITs and NITs.

According to the eligibility criteria of Amal Jyothi MTech, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of academic success and marks scored in the accepted entrance exam. GATE scores are accepted by the university for its M.Tech course. Candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements before applying. Furthermore, final admission is based on overall performance in academics as well as in the accepted entrance exam. Those who are eligible need to pay the course fee to secure their place for their preferred course specialisations.

No, ACS College of Engineering needs a valid GATE score for admission to MTech. Candidates will not be considered for the selection process if they do not clear GATE. It is necessary to prepare and clear GATE to get a seat in M.Tech in ACS.

1.IITs:

Very low chance with this score in the general category. Only possible via preparatory courses or interdisciplinary programs (very rare and limited). If you belong to SC/ST/PwD, you may have a chance in lesser-known IITs or special programs.

2. NITs:

Top NITs (Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal) – Unlikely. Lower-ranked NITs (e.g., NIT Meghalaya, NIT Arunachal) – Possible in spot rounds or for less preferred specializations. Branch shift may be an option later if you get admitted.

3. IIITs:

Some IIITs like IIITDM Kurnool, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Nagpur may accept such scores depending on the year and competitions.
