GMAT is must to get a good college, score above 550 makes your way easy. As per my concern you should go for Canada because of affordable fee. Otherwise US is best because there are number of best colleges.
Good luck

Sainath, GMAT score and XAT scores are not to be used together. Only one of these is to be evaluated - Your GMAT score of 700 will provide you with better opportunity than XAT score of 80 percentile. You will be eligible with your GMAT score.

GMAT and IELTS are the bases for the admission. In case you try some low ranked university only then GMAT becomes optional. IELTS will still stay. For many programs universities accept gre also. You can try gre in case GMAT seems difficult

Both are totally different streams and both have different scopes, comparison therefore is not possible. Just choose the one that you are really passionate about. Don't listen to people around you and get confused, otherwise you will go haywire. Just think, realize follow your dreams.

Hello, well it depends where you want to study. Not all universities require GMAT or GRE. As an international student however you must take TOEFL or IELTS.

Dear Hemant, alongwith average colleges there are a few top universities too. Remember admission depends on the student's overall profile. Check University of Chicago Booth, UCLA, Babson College, Bentley, Boston University etc.
Best Wishes

Dear Shaunak, no accredited university will grant you admission without a GMAT and work experience. Therefore you will be required to take the GMAT.
