ICBM-SBE was established in 1989. The Institute is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad, and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.The institute offers a two-year full-time PGDM triple specialisation programme. ICBM-SBE has collaborated with institutions of repute for research and student-faculty exchange programmes. ICBM-SBE is one of the top 50 institutes to be a member of AACSB, USA, the World’s oldest and most prestigious Management Education Body. Furthermore, ICBM-SBE is also one of the few management institutions in India to have the coveted AMBA Development Network Membership London.
ICBM-SBE is the only B-School accredited by ACBSP, USA recognised by CHEA (Council for Higher Education USA) in the States of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. ICBM-SBE PGDM course is a 2 year programme, offered in full-time mode. The Institute offers PGDM for an annual intake of 300 students. Furthermore, candidates can pursue PGDM on the basis of merit and entrance. Therefore, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in graduation and postgraduation. Apart from that, candidates must secure a valid score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ ATMA or any other valid entrance exam score.
Candidates must apply for candidature through the official website or offline, by visiting the campus. After the selection round on the basis of merit and entrance, candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. CAT 2025 syllabus was announced along with the exam schedule in July 2025. The CAT 2025 conducting IIM released the exam notification carrying application dates, exam dates, eligibility criteria, fees, courses and CAT syllabus. The syllabus for CAT 2025 includes all the important topics of Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.

No, MAT scores are not compulsory for admissions to the PGDM course at ICBM-SBE, because the college also considers several other entrance exam scores for admissions to the PGDM course. The names of the accepted entrance exams are- CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ MAT/ GMAT/ State level entrance test. Thus, applicants with valid scores in MAT can get admission to the PGDM course. ICBM-SBE considers various entrance exams such as MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ ATMA/ XAT and other entrance exams. ICBM-SBE releases a final merit list by the end on the basis of accumulated results of all the rounds. However, the Institute considers the cutoff list for exams such as CAT percentile. As per the previous cutoff trends, the 2023 cutoff witnessed a stagnant pace on percentile 50 in the Overall cutoff for General-All India category. Similarly, Quants, VA-RC and DI- LR sections witnessed the cutoff on 25. For more cutoff related details, check out the table below:
