This was the same dilemma I personally experienced during my initial stages of joining a MBA program. I am an Electrical Engineer. I personally suggest you to take Finance. This is a highly creative area for a numbers guy like you and me. Once you are in, I am 100% sure you will enjoy the course.
Also I would suggest you Operations as an other option. This is one good course were you can use your engineering knowledge too, but not the concepts. Satisfaction 100% guaranteed.
Coming to H.R., Bijoy you have to-have to work a lot. A lot in the sense a lot. Rather than your conscious part you must also use your unconscious brain. May be my words make you scary. This true experience of mine. Once you mastered you are the king.
About Job prospective, Finance pays more than H.R.

A bachelor in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT) is an undergraduate degree. The duration of this program is three years. This degree basically focuses on various subjects like software, databases, and networking. You should take this decision on the basis of your own interest and competencies, Choosing a specialization in pgdm is a very important one and one should not go with the external factors like job prospects etc to chose that, because if you are not good in something but choosing that just out of better job prospect you wont be able to do justice with your career. First search about the options you are weighing, go through the course curriculum, subject matter, and analyze the competencies it demands from you, in this way you would be able to make a sound decision. and talking about your background although it is said that finance background is required to do pgdm in finance but as I mentioned at the end it all depends how much and better you have absorbed the knowledge of your specialization.
