You have raised very interesting query. Based on your parents domicile, perhaps you too can get UP domicile. But, taking lateral admission is different game altogether. For you, best thing would be to approach some Engineering college directly and seek their advice.

Yes, it is worth to do professional CFA course. You can not only do it in India but it also has opportunities abroad. Recent study suggests that average salary offered after CFA is more than 12 LPA. Secondly, with the experience you get better and can also start trading for your own self.

Last time my colleagues and I were given an annual target, it was modest net profit figure of 60 times our base salaries and most of us accomplished it. Though this could be considered as one off case as targets for people working in corporate banking averages 40~90 times the base salary in top banks. The loan sizes people deal with are more than Rs. 50 Crores and considering huge loan size the numbers can be achieved. Placement opportunities are decent after completing MBA from ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai (ITM). ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai (ITM) is ranked 41st by India Education in 2015 and 40th by Times B-School in India.
The packages offered by various companies visiting in the recruitment session for marketing students are 14 LPA highest whereas average being 6.8 LPA
For Finance aspirants, the highest is 9 LPA whereas average being 6.4 LPA.

The average placement from the campus, specifically for MBA aspirants is around 5 LPA, whereas highest being 14 LPA.
There were few students recruited last year for abroad placements in USA.
Many companies visiting the campus are multinationals. By clearing that, one can grab the placement opportunity abroad.
