The modes of IIIT Kurnool admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses at IIITDM Kurnool is based on entrance exams and merit. At the UG level, the college offers a four-year BTech in four specialisations. Admission to the BTech programme is based on JEE MAin scores. The aspiring candidates need a minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for the BTech programme. At the PG level, the college offers two-year M.Tech in three specialisations. The IIIT Kurnool also offers Ph.D. courses to students.

IIIT Sri City and IIIT Kancheepuram has good campuses. Both the colleges are visited by top companies for placements. Both offers state of the art facilities to students. The highest package offered by IIIT Sri City in 2023 was INR 120 LPA whereas the highest package offered by IIIT Kancheepuram in 2023 was INR 32 LPA. Hence IIIT Sri City is better in terms of placements.

IIITDM Kancheepuram accepts some of the famous National entrance exams: JEE Mains, GATE, CEED, for admission to its offered courses. IIITDM Kancheepuram seat intake for MDes programme is 20 seats, which is the least in comparison to the other UG And PG programme offered by the Insitution. The seats are offered entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the Common Entrance Exam for Design, popularly known as CEED, conducted by IIT Bombay. In the case of candidates having valid CEED scores, a category-wise merit list is prepared based on CEED scores.

Yes, Admissiobn dates are out for MDes at IIITDM Kancheepuram. Admission to the MDes programme is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the Common Entrance Exam for Design, popularly known as CEED, conducted by IIT Bombay. Registration for CEED started on October 6, 2024, and will close on November 6, 2024.
