You can expect a seat in Thapar University. It will be bit difficult as 79.2 percentile might be on lower side considering a fight for CSE branch. Eligibility in Thapar University for B.Tech is at least 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB. You can check the below link as well for other institutes you can expect based on your score: -

It will be difficult to get NITs/IIITs at this rank. Generally cut off rank for NITs with a decent branch is under 20000. You can try for IIIT-Pune its new IIIT. You can also check the below link for other colleges you may expect at this score -

You can get CSE or it in any of the low NIT.
And, it was observed during 2018 counseling till round the student with 26459 got a seat in IIIT and for a female, it was 29976.
But in spot round, it was nearly 28000 for gender neutral.

Hi Vishesh,
Manipur and vIT are very costly. If you don't have any financial problems, then you should go for Manipal or VIT. Although, Manipal is better. But if you have financial problems, then go for JEE Mains counselling and select all the state level private colleges of west Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra as per your interests and convenience.
Best of luck.

Hello Prakriti, Normally speaking admission process of colleges which admit students based on JEE Mains should begin now. Each one had different opening and closing dates. I have a suggestion. You can first list names in order of priority and then visit their webpage one by one to know details. It should not take more than an hour or so. Best wishes.

Hi Manoj,
You will be not able to get an nit with the score of 72.6 percentile. I will suggest to apply for some other good private colleges like Amity University, Sharda University, Lovely Professional University, state private colleges of West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, etc. at the time of counselling.
Best of luck.

Hi manoj,
As you have scored 76.2% in class 12th and your JEE Mains rank is 298000. So, getting a seat in this NIT in first round is difficult. If you have patience, then you should go till the last round of the counselling. You might get a seat in last round. At the same time apply for some other colleges also.
Best of luck.
