Hi Vedvyas,
The IIT JEE Mains exam is the first step to take admission into the IIT institutes for the engineering courses.
The candidates who qualifies the JEE mains will be eligible to appear for JEE advanced exam. After qualifying the JEE advanced exam, candidates will be selected to take admission into one of the IIT based on the cut off marks.
The candidates can take admission into NITs or private engineering institutes based on the JEE mains score.
Check the admission notification of the institute in which you are going to take admission.

Hello Ishita,As we all know that from 2019, NTA will conduct the JEE Mains exam twice a year in the month of January and April in online mode only. National Testing Agency has released the Hall Ticket for JEE Mains 2019 exam on 17th December 2018. Aspirants can download their JEE Main Admit Card from the official website. Applicants have to download the admit card by entering their application number & password or application number & date of birth. You can check out the downloading procedure from here - https://examthreads.blogspot.com/2018/12/jee-mains-2019-admit-card.html must check. It is the mandatory document for the aspirants. C

Yes, it's compulsory. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects with minimum 60% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of JEE score.

From maths point of view, the important lastly revised topics may be geometry (especially parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola section), vector 3D and complex numbers.
