Yes, more students are exploring this option than you might realise. Several BTech colleges in Uttar Pradesh provide direct admission on the basis of Class 12th scores. Some well-known ones are Amity University Noida, Galgotias University, UPES, and KCC Institute of Technology and Management. Several other private colleges in Noida, Lucknow, and Greater Noida also offer management quota seats based on academic performance and personal interviews, giving students without strong JEE scores a genuine alternative pathway.

Yes, as per the JEE Main 2026 cutoff rank for CSE, it is possible to get a CSE seat at the University of Delhi with a cutoff rank of 41000. During Round 3 seat allotment, the highest rank required for CSE admission was 105413 for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota.
So, 41000 is considered a safe rank for getting admission at DU for the CSE branch.

DY Patil Navi Mumbai considers JEE Main, MHT CET or SAT scores for admission in BTech course. Hence, JEE Main is not compulsory. Aspirants without any of these scores, can appear for entrance test conducted by DY Patil Navi Mumbai for admission in BTech.

Yeah, with 113 marks in JEE Main Paper 1, you actually have a decent shot at B.Tech admission at LPU, as long as you clear the program eligibility criteria and there are seats open at that time. LPU uses JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, so in many cases you can apply without necessarily giving LPUNEST, if the admission rules for that cycle allow it. Also, based on your JEE Main percentile and whatever the university has set for scholarship policy this time around, you might qualify for a tuition fee scholarship, a sort of reduction in fees. JEE Mains is one of the most competitive exams in our country. According to a press release by NTA, the total number of candidates that appeared in both sessions of the exam was 15,38,468.
The time required is subjective for each student. Roughly One to two years of preparation should be enough. Some students take a gap year but some start preparing in class 11th and give the JEE exam after class 12th boards. There is a 6 attempt limit on JEE Mains.
