If you are referring to Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Technology, Delhi, then the spot round seat allotment process is going on and you cannot register for a fresh admission in mechanical engineering. The seat allotment process at Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Technology is going on the basis of the Delhi CET entrance test. If you want to apply for this college, you will have to register for the Delhi CET exam for admission to the Diploma programme in mechanical engineering at Guru Nanak College. With a B.Tech in mechanical engineering, you can join the Indian Railways in two ways.
1. The first is the prestigious Indian Engineering Services IES for railways. After passing the IES exam offered by the UPSC you can become an IRSME. You need to select Mechanical Engineering when filling out the application form. After passing the written test, you will be required to select "preferred services" in DAF, where you can select the Ministry of Railways. Here the placements are pretty decent. If you can score good through out the year and is smart enough would be able to grab the package as high as 33LPA which is a great package regarding mechanical branch. The average package here is 4 LPA which is pretty decent taking in mind of the branch. Jspm has ties with various companies TCS ninjaTCS digitalCognizantCap GeminiSo. Almost each and every student her get placed even in mechanical branch. There are even exceptions of students getting placed in Japanese or German companies. At the end all depends on how much efforts you are able to put in all your college years.
