A lot of students are desirous of getting into only top 5 NITs. It's, of course, good to have such dreams/aims. However, one needs to score better and even better if a particular branch is sought. In view of the above, I feel you should aim to get 275+ marks in JEE Mains.

The cut-off for this particular college was not available but the cut-offs for different colleges under Pune University for lateral entry in the 2nd year of engineering varies from 60% to 86%. But this is dynamic. It depends on the result of the current year and the number of students applied.

You said that you want to become an automatics designer. Even if there is any such course, it's use is rather limited. Even Indian companies are taking design inputs from special companies abroad. However, if that is your passion then you need to get job in the design department of an automobile major. Merely studying further will not help you.

Germany is the best place provided you have high academic grades. You may also consider Netherlands and Switzerland. Canada and Australia are no doubt some of the top destinations. I am not mentioning UK and US because of slimmer job prospects for international students.

Placements are closely guarded secret if all private institutions. Of course they do give out info that suits them. CU has apparently good record. You can find details from their webpage.

The admission procedure for Diploma in mechanical engineering varies from college to college. For admission in Diploma in mechanical engineering, you need to contact a college of your choice for the admission procedure.

If your place of work has engineering college then attempt part-time BE from there. Else, I suggest learn some language like French, German or Chinese.
