If physics in 12th level seems easier to you and you are comfortable and confident in solving different problems of physics then you may conclude mechanical engineering for yourself. Similarly, if in computer both hardware and software and programming languages seem easy then go for them. As a computer user, if you are really smooth, then you may think of CS. Nothing is harder in that sense. You are to choose one based on your interest and skill.
