Honestly, both Engineering Degree and Diploma have their own importance, but if you're thinking long-term — a Degree is definitely the better option, especially from a good institute like MERI. A B.Tech degree gives you deeper technical knowledge, opens doors for higher studies like M.Tech or MBA, and allows you to apply for top-level government and private sector jobs that usually require a graduate qualification. In a degree program, you not only learn core engineering subjects in detail but also get exposure to projects, internships, coding competitions, and industry-level training, which are extremely valuable in today's job marke

With 36 percentile in MHT-CET (Maharashtra), admission to top or mid-tier government colleges isn't possible, but you can still get Civil Engineering in several private or lesser-known institutes. Possible options include:

  • JSPM's Bhivarabai Sawant Institute of Technology, Pune

  • Trinity College of Engineering and Research, Pune

  • Zeal College of Engineering, Pune

  • Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering, Lohegaon

  • G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur (low-demand round)

You can also explore management or institute-level quota seats for better chances.

With 24 percentile in MHT-CET (PCB), admission to top government or reputed private colleges for courses like B.Pharm or B.Sc Agriculture is unlikely. However, you can get seats in some private or lesser-known colleges under management or institute-level quota. Options include:

  • Private pharmacy colleges in rural or semi-urban Maharashtra

  • B.Sc. or paramedical programs in local universities

  • Management quota seats in self-financed colleges

You may also consider Diploma courses or reappearing next year to improve your score for better opportunities.

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.

With 122 marks in MHT CET, your percentile is likely to fall between 95 and 97, depending on the overall difficulty level of the paper and performance of other candidates. This range can vary slightly each year. Such a percentile generally gives you a good chance for admission to reputed state engineering colleges through the centralized counselling process.

With an low score in MHT CET you still have chance to get into government colleges if you come under SC/ST category, also on branch preferences you would still have an chance , also on further rounds the vacant seats will be filled with low score students.
