The the highest and average package offered to BTech students during NIT Puducherry placements in 2024 stood at INR 24 LPA and INR 7.9 LPA,  respectively. Further, the the highest and average package offered to the M.Tech batch 2024 was INR 16 LPA and INR 11.28 LPA,  respectively. NIT Puducherry recorded 80.2% placements for BTech,  57.14% for MTech, and 31.6% for the MSc batch 2024.

For candidates belonging to the General AI quota, the minimum and maximum GATE scores required were 377 and 579 during Round 1 admission to the M.Tech course. Please note that the cutoff scores vary for different rounds, courses and categories. For GATE, the higher the cutoff scores, the higher the competition and vice versa. NIT Puducherry JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds and categories. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the closing ranks in the last round varied between 22336 and 69557. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 30526 and 83959. NIT Puducherry offers admission to the MSc courses based on candidates' performance in the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process. For 2025 admission, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 1172 and 1345 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
