The National Institute of Puducherry (NITPY) was established by the Government of India in 2010. NIT Puducherry is one of the top ten new NITs. In addition, it is one among the 31 NITs acknowledged as Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The NIT Puducherry BTech 2024 admission process is ongoing. The institute is now inviting applications for BTech counselling process 2024, candidates willing to apply must fill the JoSAA application form on or before the due date. For admission to NIT Puducherry BTech, candidates are required to appear for JEE Main. The JEE Main 2024 exam has concluded. 

The JoSAA 2024 registration process started on June 10, 2024. There will be five rounds of JoSAA counselling. JoSAA released Rounds 1 and 2 seat allocation results and cutoffs. NIT Puducherry BTech admission are done on the basis of rank secured in JEE Mains followed by seat allotment process conducted by JoSAA. The seat allotment is done on the basis of choices filled by the candidate and availability of seats in the preferred institute.

 The total seat intake of NIT Puducherry BTech is 275 across all specialisations. The 50% of the total seats of BTech at NIT Puducherry is reserved for Home-state candidates (Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam, and Andaman Nicobar).
