 A step-by-step process that students need to follow is as follows:

Step-1 Apply for the relevant entrance exam required for the programme 

Step-2 Select NIT Puducherry, during the choice-filling process conducted on the official website of the Authority conducting the admission process. Refer to the table below:

Step-3 The Institute and seat allocation is done on the basis of the Institute's cut-off and marks secured by the candidate. Click here to predict the College you are eligible for on the basis of your rank or marks secured

Step-3 After the seat allotment is done, the candidates are required to submit the acceptance fee and mark their physical presence at the NIT Puducherry Campus with all the original documents required for verification and submission purposes. 

The JEE Main 2023 closing ranks for admission to NIT Puducherry BTech admission has been released. The closing ranks for the General- All India category of all specialisations ranged between 22363 and 67906. BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation offered at NIT Puducherry with a closing rank of 22363 followed by BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a closing rank of 26906. BTech in Civil Engineering closing rank was the highest making it the easiest specialisation to get admission into, with a closing rank of 67906.

The National Institute of Puducherry (NITPY) was established by the Government of India in 2010. NIT Puducherry is one of the top ten new NITs. In addition, it is one among the 31 NITs acknowledged as Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. Talking about the placements, the highest and average package offered during NIT Puducherry BTech placements 2023 stood at INR 20.24 LPA and INR 9.70 LPA, respectively.

Yes, your chances of getting into NIT Puducherry with a JEE Main Cutoff 2025 rank of 40000 are favourable if you belong to the OBC HS quota. For the OBC HS category, the cutoff rank ranged from 120407 to 424690, wherein B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest and B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, the easiest. 

However, if you belong to the  OBC AI category, while BTech CSE and ECE would be tough to get admission in, other branches such as B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, etc., might be easier to get admitted to. For the OBC AI category, the last round cutoff rank range was between 30526 and 83959.
