NIT Puducherry fee structure is different for each programme. Students have to pay the fees through UPI/ Card/ Net Banking. The fees for top programmes is as below:

NIT Puducherry admissions are mainly entrance-based. The institute accepts different national-level exams to select students. The accepted exams are as below:

  • BTech - JEE Main
  • MTech - GATE
  • MSc - IIT JAM

Yes, getting admission in NIT Puducherry is somewhat hard. The institute is one of the top Engineering institutes and is part of the 31 NITs. With the cutoff for top BTech specialisations being high and seats being limited, the admission chances are difficult. Students have to clear the admission rounds and score well in the accepted tests. With right planning, students can get admission in the institute.

Yes, students may get a seat in NIT Puducherry BTech with 92 percentile in JEE Main through JoSAA counselling. The cutoff is high for specialisations, such as CSE. With NITPY being one of the top institutes and part of the NIT Tag, the cutoff is always high. But 92 percentile can be enough for later rounds of JoSAA. Students can check the last year trend to know more.

To get admission in NIT Puducherry, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute selects students on an entrance basis. Students have to appear for accepted counselling to get a seat. To complete the process, candidates have to pay the admission fees.

No, NIT Puducherry does not offer direct admissions. Students have to appear for the accepted test and participate in the counselling process to get admission. Institute-level vacant seats are also filled only after the basic eligibility is fulfilled. Students can check the official site to know more.

NIT Puducherry JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for admission to various BTech course specialisations. The cutoff was out for candidates belonging to both the All India and Home State quota candidates. 

For the OBC AI quota, the overall cutoff ranged from 5686 to 83959. According to the last round, the most desired engineering branch was BTech CSE

 In contrast, for the OBC HS quota, the cutoff varied between 20207 and 424690. As per the last round closing ranks, the most competitive specialisation was BTech CSE.

NIT Puducherry JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various categories under both the All India and Home State quota. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 14207 to 22336 for the BTech CSE programme. 

For the General HS category, the overall cutoff varied between 50932 and 68783 for the same course branch. Students can refer to the table below to know the first and last round cutoff rank for this branch for various categories and quotas.
