B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.0
Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 85 percent of the students who go for placements get placed. Companies like ABB and QBit are offered in NITPY. An average package of 9 LPA is given. Internships are offered from companies like Ericsson, and small-scale industries like NSIC, which train the students in different roles.
Infrastructure: Labs and libraries are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. The hostel is good, with a cot, table, chair, and cupboard provided for each student. The food in the mess is okay, and medical facilities are provided 24/7.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and they make us knowledgeable; both professors and assistant professors teach well. Yes, the labs do help us with industry-related skills, but in most cases, it is up to us to learn. The semesters are okay if you are well-prepared.

Good but can be more better.
Placements: 59 students are studying in this batch of electronics and communication engineering. The maximum package this year was 15 Lacs. The internships are mostly done by the students themselves, college doesn't help the students for finding any internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so bad. Since it's under construction, it is a bit difficult to walk and since our hostels are a bit far from college, it makes it difficult to walk so far. The Wi-Fi is not so good on the college campus and also in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good but since the new education policy the curriculum has been bit difficult. Sem exams are not so difficult and this also depends on the professor. 40 percent is the pass percentage. The course not help the students in getting ready for the industry.

A developing college with lots of opportunities.
Placements: Recruitment has been good for our batch compared to other years. Around 80 percent of students have been placed. Top roles offered to us would be Network Engineer, Software Engineer, Full Sack developed, Data scientist and Data analyst. The highest package -14.5 LPA the lowest package -I am not sure.
Infrastructure: The college opened 7 years back. The college has been developing slowly along the time. Individual classrooms for all depth and year students with projector facilities provided. There is a central library present in the campus to cherish and grow and knowledge. Wi-Fi is present in all the building in the campus.
Faculty: The professors are really knowledgeable and friendly too. Some of them are 10 to 15 years experienced. The course covers basics to semi advanced in Electronics and Communication. There has been little tweaks in the syllabus lately. They have been updating according to the industrial requirements and standards.

Review of NIT Puducherry - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. Almost 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies like ABS, Ford, Oracle, etc., visit our campus. To secure a good salary package, focusing on the software aspect is crucial. Our seniors are excellent and helpful.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Air-conditioners are available in labs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The hostel is good. The quality of the food in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are good. Classrooms are well-ventilated.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. The course curriculum is new as per NEP, which is very helpful for students. NEP offers a wide range of options, enhancing the potential to secure higher-paying positions off-campus by learning many things.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, college environment and administration.
Placements: 75% got placed in ECE, the highest package is 20LPA, 3LPA is the lowest and average is 7LPA. Core companies are so less and the highest one is C-Dot with 18LPA. 10% students got internships from ABB, next turn and Samsung. Software developers and R&D engineers are the top roles in ECE course.
Infrastructure: College has Wi-Fi, good library, smart classrooms, AC labs with good equipment. In hostel a room is slotted to two students, has Wi-Fi, washing machines, gym, sports area like badminton court, basketball court etc. Mess food is not of great quality, taste and quantity. Canteen food is good but the area is small. Health centre is maintained well. There are many other grounds for sports like beach volleyball, cricket, football etc.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but shows a lot of partiality. They only favour Tamil students and give them good marks irrelevant to their performance in exams. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry ready only through their personal efforts not due to the teaching of the staff. Semester exams are so difficult but most of the students will be passed with average marks. In ECE 95% is the pass percentage.
Other: The most difficult course in NITPY is ECE, faculty makes it worse. As half of the admissions are allotted for home-state, students from Puducherry having less than 80 percentile can also get in here. Due to this the quality of aspirant's value will be decreased and there will be no support from the faculty. One has to grow on their personal dedication and hardwork and friends. Administration in students have a lot of politics. Events, Fest, extracurricular activities are good and enjoyable.

Good environment for studying peacefully.
Placements: 80% of the students got placed in campus. The highest package offered in our course is INR 16 LPA, the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. Analog devices, Samsung, Oracle, BHEL are some of the top recruiting companies for our department. Now the placements are improving smoothly.
Infrastructure: 24 X 7 hours Wi-fi is available with 30 Mbps speed. Labs are well equipped with centralized air conditioning. We can use our labs for our understanding. Classrooms are digitalized and well-ventilated. There is a central library with air conditioning. All books for the course are available in the library. The Hostel is very clean. There is free wi-fi for 24 hours. The mess foods feel like home foods. Medical facilities are improved. There is a Badminton and Basketball court for sports. The inter-sports complex is in progress.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are very disciplined, and they expect the same from us. They are very helpful in projects and theory concepts. They are well qualified and highly knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is standard. The exams are conducted from the range from normal to difficult.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in analog and digital electronics. We have to externally study some courses related to our course to improve our skills and knowledge in our field. There are mainly two major fests conducted by our college- GYANITH and LAYCIL. GYANITH is a Tech fest, where many tech events like workshops etc. are conducted. LAYCIL is a cultural fest where the inner talents or skills idle in every person can be revealed. Other events like freshers, Farewell, Onam, Diwali also happened in our college.

Our college has good infrastructure, faculty members but placements need to be improved.
Placements: Placements in our college are not high. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered ranges from 9 LPA - 15 LPA, but every year we see a growth in average placed number. The placement percentage is around 65-70%. Our college is calling companies are offering 20 LPA, but none of the students got qualified, and companies are also showing less interest in qualified ones.
Infrastructure: We have a hostel with good infrastructure and Wi-Fi. Two students share a single room in the hostel. But currently, they are accommodating three members per room. The course is well structured, so we have a balance for class time and our free time. The food served is good for almost all weeks, but at times you should adjust because I don't like the variety they provide.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are assistant professors as of now, and we have only two professors, one being director. Even they have good knowledge of the subject. We have labs every week, and syllabus is well framed. The marking scheme is well planned. We have 18 hours of class per week, and there are 2 labs per week. We have two class test per semester and assignments before getting qualified to end semester examination.
Other: We have only five courses in our college, so the strength is limited. The budget of college for fests is low as college is underdevelopment. Even students thrive a lot to make our fest a grand success. We have less greenery in our college, so I wish it will be improved. It is far from the nearby town, and auto fares are high. So bus connectivity should be increased.

Campus is developing rapidly.
Placements: Most of the people from ECE department will get placed but package depends on the skills of individuals. Most of the ECE students will get placed in it stream, very few students get placed in core companies. As campus is developing rapidly and strength of the campus is increasing placements for the further years will surely increases alot. And average package is 4L per annum at present.
Infrastructure: Very good Wi-Fi facility and very modern style of blocks are constructed infrastructure is good classrooms and library are constructed in a very modern manner with all kinds of facilities required. And they are developing the campus rapidly but there is no greenery in the campus this is the major drawback for the look of campus.
Faculty: Only one professor is available in this college all the remaining staff are assistant professors or the people who completed their high education teaches us. Curriculum of the course is very well structured. They scheduled it in a very good manner. We can enjoy it.
Other: All the faculty people of ECE department will be very strict and tries to make every student sharp and very knowledgeable about the subject.
