Review of NIT Puducherry - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: 69% of students were placed this year. The highest package in MECH was 15 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Abb, UltraTech, etc. None of the students placed got a preplacement offer or an internship. Generally, students were offered mechanical engineering, although some were placed with consulting companies.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is under construction. No. A proper library or departmental building is there. Life here is like a boast trying to float in a desert full of cacti. Your expectation makes an angle of 180 degrees with reality. Mess. Food lacks all the essential nutrients; very soon you will face severe hairfall, a lack of vision and fatigue. Sports is a nightmare.

Faculty: Teachers are not qualified enough to be called professors. Teaching quality is below the poverty line. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Although the course curriculum is good, it will not benefit you a lot as your friend circle will always be busy with useless entertainment.

Other: I did not choose this course; this course chose me as a scape goat. Events, fests, co-curriculars, etc. are not that good.

I am regretting my choice.

Placements: Previously placement was not that good. This year the highest in mech was 15 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA average was 7 LPA. Abb, cognizant, ola, zoho visited for placement drive. No student got internship in 3 year. Top roles are like instrumedesign, vehicle management etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in college is very poor I mean very poor they are charging money of 300 per as Wi-Fi feels but the Wi-Fi speed is terrible same applies hostel but for hostel if your room is facing the Wi-Fi outer you will enjoy 4k vdo streaming without interruption otherwise oops 303 Error not found. If you are choosing this college get used to eat price without vegetables.

Faculty: Faculty are but not qualified enough. Curriculum is good but here they teach only theory the teachers are not practical oriented. Especially Physics faculty and Chemistry faculty. Sem exams are easy but to be an 10 holder you have study round the year.

I like this college because of the good placements in the year 2019.

Placements: Almost 80% of the students were placed in the previous year. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Companies like Google, Wipro and Infosys are the top recruiters of our college. Students are offered with the role of a core team leader in Google. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 22 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Almost 90% of the students got an internship.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are not that good because this NIT is newly formed, so it takes a little more time to develop. Quality of facilities is very good and perfect. Food served in the mess is very good. The hospital is available inside the campus, and sports have a great preference.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and supportive of students. They are well-qualified and have much knowledge, and teaching quality is very good and perfect. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.

Other: I have chosen this course because I have a passion for doing it, and I like it.

Review of NIT Puducherry.

Placements: Almost 25% of the students in our college were placed. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. I don't know about the companies recruiting. It is a good college, and the percentage of students may be increased in future.

Infrastructure: All the faculty members are good, and strength is less just 33 members. So there is no need to suffer for labs. Our block is under construction. Classrooms are on the ground floor, but somewhat congested. The food served is average. In the canteen, the food served is good, and the cost is also not high. Medical facilities are also good, and the doctor will be available daily.

Faculty: Some teachers are good, and they have completed PhDs. Some are research scholars, and others are faculty from outside colleges. Definitely, the curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. This college is not fully developed, and now it is developing slowly.

NIT PY, might not be the college for the fun lovers, but best for an average student.

Placements: The placements are pretty decent for EEE, ECE and CSE. They get placed in L&T and other good companies every year, but for mechanical engineering, it's still a question. Civil is a very new department, so placement for them is also a question.

Infrastructure: We have all basic infrastructure. A science block for classes and labs, 4-floor blocks for boys hostel with elevator, Wi-Fi and RO facilities are available. Girls hostel is of 2-floors with the same kind of facilities. For now, the guest house is used as admin block. Do not expect state of the art infrastructure like A-grade colleges.

Faculty: The faculty are the main plus point here. All faculty members are friendly. For now, many faculty members are on a contract basis, so they may not be good, but still, faculty members are one of the best in this college. Teaching is excellent, and the faculty members omit no syllabus.
