It will take two years atleast to complete your PhD program. It will be mandatory for the students to attend 3 sessions in full-time residence at the university or at any other institution which is approved. The students will start writing their thesis once their coursework is complete.

There are various other factors important than the GPA such as research experience, quality of letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose which may be evaluated while scanning your application. But as per records, the students who got admission at the university had a high GPA. It should also be noted that GRE scores are no more required for pursuing a PhD.

As per the eligibility criteria, TAPMI accepts students who have completed their PG degree. Having work experience is not mandatory, however, it will be better if the candidates have it during the selection procedure.
