At doctoral-level, Faculty of Computer Applications MRIIRS offers PhD programme in Computer Applications. MRIIRS conducts an entrance exam (with 70% weightage in selection) for admission to PhD followed by an interview/ presentation round (with 30% weightage in selection) for final selection. The syllabus for the entrance test consists of 50% research methodology based questions in part-A and 50% subject-specific questions in part-B. Candidates with a valid score in GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR JRF are exempted from writing the PhD entrance exam and can directly sit for the interview.

For admission to PhD at Faculty of Computer Applications MRIIRS, candidates are required to pass any master’s degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate in relevant subject/stream.

Candidates willing to seek PhD admission need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the University followed by a Persona Interview (PI) round. However, candidates with GATE/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET are exempted from entrance examination and are directly eligible for appearing in PI round.
